We're on the hunt for an A+ video editor who wants to get their foot in the door of a fast-growing company in the content creation space. You'll be part of a nimble 2-person creative powerhouse editing high-impact content for established business owners, creators, and entrepreneurs on YouTube.

We're Content Growth Engine (Team Hummus), a YouTube creator growth and talent placement agency. We work with established business owners, YouTube entrepreneurs, business coaches, and content creators to produce killer content that drives engagement and real business growth.
The Role:
You're a video editing expert who delivers polished, engaging YouTube content on a weekly cadence. You'll work closely with a Creative Director in a tight 2-person team structure, translating their vision and our clients' brand guidelines into retention-focused videos that perform.
What You'll Do Each Week:
Core Responsibilities:
- Edit 3 high-quality long-form landscape videos (15+ minutes) focused on retention, engagement, and YouTube algorithm performance.
- Create 3 thumbnails that capture attention and drive clicks.
- Manage video scheduling & publishing across client channels with organized file management and timelines.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with the Creative Director on content direction and feedback cycles.
- Maintain consistent brand voice and visual style across all edited content.
- Communicate proactively with the team to meet deadlines and handle urgent requests.
- Brainstorm creative concepts and editing techniques to maximize viewer retention.
You're a Great Fit If You Have:
Non-Negotiables:
- Proven experience editing engaging long-form (talking head) YouTube videos.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and/or Photoshop (or equivalent software).
- A strong portfolio showcasing your video editing skills and creativity.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Strong storytelling instincts and creative problem-solving mindset.
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of high-performing YouTube creators (Iman Gadzhi, Ali Abdaal, Hamza, etc.).
- Experience with trend-aware editing and pop-culture references.
- A sense of humor and knack for modern meme culture.
- Background in retention editing or data-driven content optimization.
- Experience with YouTube algorithm best practices.
